The traditional forum post box is mostly a "one box fits all"—whether you're here to ask a question, sell a device, or start a giveaway, you always see the same title and body fields. The system doesn't care what kind of post you're making, and once it's posted, that's it: a lonely post, and the rest is up to you to format and organize in the body however you like.

N.HT wants to try a different approach: before you start writing, pick a post type. Once you've chosen, the system will fill in the key information according to the type of post, and let AI and the community handle the rest for you.

1. Six Types of Posts, Six Ways to Live

When you click the post button, you see a grid of icons—choose one of six types to enter:

General— Daily discussions, sharing, creations. The most flexible type: no status, no fixed form, can be edited at any time.
Review — Write about your experience with a device, a service, or a vendor. Essentially a branch of general posts, but with a dedicated entry and display for "reviews."
Help— Ask a question. Compared to general posts, this one has a "state machine": when posted, it's marked as Help; once you accept a reply as the best answer, the post automatically changes to Solved, and that answer is marked as "Best Answer."
Trade— Buy, sell, rent, or swap. The title gets a bracketed prefix indicating whether you're here to Sell, Buy, Swap, Rent, Carpool, or Pay on behalf (for carpooling, you can specify "Car looking for people" or "People looking for car"); after the deal is done, click "Mark as Completed," and the prefix changes to [Completed].
Poll— Let everyone vote with a click, instead of just talking past each other in the comments.
Giveaway— Lottery by thread replies: set the prize and target floor number, and once the thread reaches that floor, the draw happens automatically.

2. Polls: Rules Are Set Before Voting Starts

When you start a poll, several things are locked in the moment you hit publish and can't be changed later:

Poll options: 2 to 10 options, can be limited to single choice or allow up to N choices.
Result visibility: Three modes—results visible only after voting (default), always public, or revealed only after the poll ends.
Anonymous voting: Anonymous by default; only if you set it to public will everyone see who voted for what.
Deadline: If set, the poll will automatically close at the specified time—no need to watch over it.

3. Giveaways: A Transparent and Fair Lottery

Giveaways are reply-based lotteries popular in the hosting community. The thread starter sets the prize and target floor, and the rest is up to the replies:

Winning floor: Calculated using a verifiable seed and hash—after the draw, anyone can verify it themselves, not just trust the thread starter's claim of "randomness."
Three modes: Automatic draw when the target floor is reached, manual draw by the thread starter, or automatic draw at the deadline. Even if multiple triggers happen at once, the winner list is unique—no duplicate draws.
Draw is the end: The thread is locked, irreversible, and cannot be redrawn.

4. Why "Process Posts" Are Locked After Completion

Help, Trade, and Giveaway posts are internally called "process posts"—they all have a clear end point: Help → Solved, Trade → Completed, Giveaway → Drawn. Once they reach the end, the post is finalized: neither the thread starter nor admins can edit it, solved/completed statuses can't be undone, and draws can't be reversed.

5. A Paragraph Is All You Need for a Post

Ideally, posting should require you to do just one thing: write the body. All those things traditional forums force you to fill out—if AI can handle them, AI will:

No need to pick a board: If you don't choose, AI will select the most suitable board from those you can access (each board has a "description" in the backend; the clearer it's written, the more accurate the classification).
No need to add tags: AI will pick from a fixed tag library in the backend—classifying content and attaching 1 to 3 attribute tags. You can only pick, not create new ones, to avoid tag bloat and synonym chaos.
No need to struggle with a title: After you finish the body, AI will suggest several titles for you to choose from; even the body itself can be autocompleted as you write.

6. A Post Can Hold More Than Just Text

Besides the body, the post box includes several other features:

Secure attachments: You can upload PDFs, archives, and similar files, which are downloaded through an authenticated proxy: for private posts or internal boards, outsiders can't access attachments even if they get the link.
Inline images: Any external image links you insert in the body will be automatically mirrored to N.HT's own storage, so your post won't break if the original site goes down.
In-post comments: The little rocket icon at the end of the action bar lets you leave a one-line comment attached to a specific reply. Perfect for saying "this is really helpful" without making a whole new reply. These don't count for points and can be translated.
Draft editing: Unfinished posts can be saved as drafts to continue writing later.

What we want to do with posting is not to give you more buttons, but to let you worry less: choose the right type, write your content, and let the system handle the rest.

No matter how the technology changes, the real stars of the forum are always the tinkerers—both old hands and new friends.
