That is, currently the domain names for custom NS must use the same domain. I was wondering if it could use two different domains?
And because I want to directly use domains like 'ns1.xx' and 'ns2.xx', could it allow the hostname to be set to @?

Sure, this actually fits the NS setup better. It will also better solve some of the traffic routing bugs.
I was originally planning to update this feature last night,

1. Use different domains as NS
2. Support the root domain as NS

There was a sudden power outage here. Still no electricity now, but this is indeed the trend. I will update it in the next few days.
